Much controversy has been expressed, however, with regards to President Elect Donald Trump’s ability to handle the world's most powerful seat.
During the election campaign Trump accused trade agreements. He used to say that he would build a wall between USA and Mexico, and make Mexico pay for the wall. According to many, he has made several doubtful promises and statements during his election campaign.
When the results were being announced Donald was leading against Clinton. Economically speaking, the Donald's markets deflated. Asian markets plunged sharply. Mexican Peso went all time low against US dollar. Anyhow that didn't take any long. Making all predictions false Wall Street escalated to unprecedented high levels as CNN reported..
Assumptions and opinions have been made, on the potential procedures and modus operandi that will determine a potential relationship with
Sri Lanka. Over the time UNP governments and PM Ranil have had excellent relationships with Republicans, expect for the fact, that both party logos are represented by the symbol of Elephants. As international and local newspaper report, Trump is yet to announce his policies, actions and his foreign policy.
Donald Trump will assume his duties on the 20th January next year. Many advised to stay calm until Trump announces his policies. Any how a country which is under development or developing country, like Sri Lanka, should continue good relationships with USA.
